For the first time ever, Bostonians can finally pick up acclaimed Tree House Brewing Company to-go in Boston, with a new storefront that just opened at the Prudential Center.

After the success of a beer garden pop-up that was meant to last through July, then was extended into September, Tree House decided they’d sell their beer at the glossy shopping center year-round.

To-go orders kicked off last weekend, and customers could either purchase the beers at a store inside the Pru or by car in the parking garage if they ordered ahead. It makes the Prudential Center the first and only retail location in Boston selling the Massachusetts brewery’s beer to-go.

The retail storefront is located on the arcade level of the Pru, following the Hynes Convention Center and Sheraton Hotel signs and near the Shake Shack. Once there, customers have the choice to order pick-up with a crew member or by using the touchscreen kiosk available.

If you happen to be driving in Back Bay or don’t want to go inside the Pru, there’s garage pick-up, too.

Customers will need to go to the Orange Level Free Loop at the 125 Huntington Ave. entrance. Take a left before you reach the ticketed gates inside the garage, and at that point you should see signage for Tree House pick-up parking spaces.

This next part is easy: Stay in the car, click “I am here” on your electronic receipt, and be sure to include your parking spot number so the Tree House crew delivering your beer can find you.

“Based on our trial runs, reaching the Tree House cooler from the Turnpike exit (and just a few seconds from Huntington Ave) takes about a minute, the most convenient in-and-out experience in Boston,” Tree House said on Instagram.

For now, pick-up options include beer, coffee, and non-alcoholic drinks, but Tree House said in an Instagram post that customers will eventually be able to grab distillery-based beverages soon.

The Tree House pick-up storefront opened initially Friday and Saturday, and reopens Thursday to Sunday. Starting next Thursday, Sept. 26, Tree House at the Pru will be open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

As part of Tree House now being part of the Pru, they also released a beer called “Hello Boston,” an IPA that features the Boston skyline — including the Prudential Tower, part of the Prudential Center complex — on its can.

Tree House also teased that a “robust beer garden” is coming next year, with “a few surprises in store.”

“As we look toward the future of great beverages and experiences in our capital city — the unofficial capital of New England — we carry forward the same energy and optimism for great beverages that inspired us to found Tree House in 2011,” Tree House said in a social media post.
