Family searching for missing Southern California boy

Loved ones are searching for a missing boy who disappeared in Los Angeles County.

The critically missing child was identified as Louie Daft Carrillo, 13, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Carillo was last seen on Sept. 16 at the intersection of 45th Street W and Avenue J-6 in Lancaster at around 3 p.m.

His family has not heard from him since his disappearance and is concerned for his well-being.

He is described as a Hispanic male standing 5 feet tall and weighing around 100 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black beanie, navy blue zip-up hoodie, brown Carthartt pants, black Puma brand shoes, and a black backpack.

A “critically missing person” is defined as:

  • A person who has no pattern of running away or disappearing
  • A person in critical need of medical attention
  • The victim of a crime or foul play
  • The victim of a kidnapping or parental abduction
  • A person who is mentally impaired to the extent that such person is unable to care for him or herself or is an immediate danger to his or her own safety or the safety of others

Anyone who has seen the boy or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call LASD’s Homicide Bureau Missing Persons Detail at 661-940-3849 and ask to speak with Detective D. Jenkins.
