A brawl broke out on Saturday night at The Big E, West Springfield police said.

Police arrested James Stanley, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, and Levi Stanley, of Amherst, New Hampshire, at the fairgrounds, the department said on social media.

Police said they arrived at the fairgrounds around 5 p.m. on Saturday. The post said officers found multiple victims with “various injuries.” Some were transported to a local hospital, police said. However, police said, a large group of people ran away from the fairgrounds once officers arrived.

Officers detained the two suspects near Memorial Avenue, police said. Both face charges of disorderly conduct, destruction of property, assault, and a $1,200 fine, the post said. In addition, James Stanley faces one robbery charge. Police said he allegedly stole items from at least one other person involved in the fight.

Representation for both James and Levi was not yet listed on court documents, and The Big E did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
