Michelle Troconis back in court on contempt charge

Michelle Troconis, who was convicted earlier this year of helping her lover Fotis Dulos cover up the murder of his estranged wife, Jennifer Farber Dulos, was back in court Monday to face a contempt of court charge.

Prosecutors said they were negotiating a potential plea deal with Dulos’ defense attorneys and the judge, the Stamford Advocate reported. However, no offer was made prior to Monday’s hearing, and the case was continued to Nov. 13.

“We’ll be working toward disposition in this case,” assistant prosecutor Elizabeth Moran said, according to the Advocate. “If not, we’ll be able to schedule it for a hearing or trial possibly at that point.”

Troconis was charged with criminal contempt of court, a misdemeanor, after witnesses said she displayed a sealed court psychiatric report on her computer during her trial.

In March, Troconis, 49, was convicted of helping Fotis Dulos cover up his estranged wife’s murder. She was sentenced to 14.5 years for conspiracy to commit murder.

During the proceedings, Troconis pulled up a 2019 report from the custody battle between Jennifer and Fotis Dulos. A friend of Jennifer’s spotted Troconis displaying the report on her computer in what she described as “about 70-point font,” according to prosecutors.

A live stream of the trial from Law & Crime News also caught Troconis’ computer with the report, investigators said. Thousands of people watched the stream daily.

Fotis Dulos was charged in January 2020 with killing Farber Dulos. He posted bail, then died by suicide days later.
