Governor Abbott to make border security announcement Monday

HOUSTON (KXAN) — Texas Governor Greg Abbott will address border security efforts in response to the Biden-Harris Administration’s border policies, according to a release from the governor’s office.

Abbott is set to make an announcement in Houston during a press conference at 11 a.m. He is expected to talk about Texas’ “ongoing border security efforts,” the release said.

KXAN will livestream the announcement in the video player at the top of this story and on Facebook.

Abbott will be joined by the Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw, Texas Border Czar Mike Banks, Houston Police Department Chief J. Noe Diaz, National Border Patrol Council Vice President Chris Cabrera along with other state, federal and local law enforcement leaders.
