Emmys 2024: Winners, Losers and All the Shocking Moments (How Did ‘The Bear’ Lose?)

US

If you’re asking yourself, “Wait, didn’t the Emmys just happen?” Yes, yes, they did.

Because of the various strikes that hit Hollywood earlier this year, the 75th Emmy Awards were delayed, with statues being handed out in January. But hey, when has Hollywood ever missed an opportunity to hand out some gold to mostly well-dressed celebrities?

Let’s break down all the winners and losers from the 76th Emmy Awards.

The most shocking moment of the night was The Bear losing Outstanding Comedy Series to Hacks.

While Hacks had an incredible season, nobody saw them winning. Even with their big win, The Bear still won the second most awards of the night, taking home 11 awards.

The biggest winner of the night was Shōgun, picking up 18 awards, including Outstanding Drama Series. The FX series broke records this year, picking up more awards than any other series in a single year and making Anna Sawai the first Asian actress to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Netflix’s Baby Reindeer was also struck gold, winning 6 awards including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and wins for the show’s stars Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning.
