Temporary road closures continue on North DuSable Lake Shore Drive

Drivers should also plan their commutes around continued road resurfacing work on North DuSable Lake Shore Drive between LaSalle Drive and Hollywood Avenue this week. The southbound lanes will be closed in increments Sunday afternoon through Friday morning, primarily in the overnight hours.

Work begins Sunday at 3 p.m. between Irving Park Road and Belmont Avenue. The lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. Monday morning.

Then, on Monday at 7 p.m., southbound traffic between Irving Park Road and Fullerton Avenue will be reduced to one lane, but ramps will remain open. Starting at 9 p.m., all southbound lanes between Irving Park Road and Fullerton Avenue, including entrance and exit ramps, will be closed. They’re anticipated to reopen by 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The same pattern will continue through 6 a.m. Friday morning between Belmont Avenue and Fullerton Avenue Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning; between Fullerton Avenue and LaSalle Drive Wednesday evening into Thursday morning; and again between Fullerton Avenue and LaSalle Drive Thursday evening into Friday morning.
