An NYPD cop and three civilians were shot at a Brooklyn subway stop Sunday afternoon, police said.

The officer was hit in the upper right torso, ABC News reported. Three other people were also hit by gunfire on the Manhattan-bound platform at the Sutter Ave. L train station in Brownsville.

Medics transported the officer and the injured civilians, including a woman shot in the head, to Brookdale University Hospital, according to ABC News.

Another police officer was also injured and taken to the hospital, according to Brooklyn Assemblymember Alec Brook-Krasney. That officer was not shot.

“2 NYPD Officers were injured earlier this afternoon by gunfire in Brownsville, Brooklyn. We are awaiting further details regarding the extent of injury and the condition of the officers,” Brook-Krasney posted on X. “I offer my prayers for their safety and recovery and remind all New Yorkers to never forget the courage and bravery of our NYPD.”

This is a developing story.
