NFL Week 2 odds, picks

Seahawks (-3.5) over PATRIOTS

If you’ve suffered the shame of getting bounced from your survival pool one week into the NFL season, it’s because of the Bengals’ poor offensive execution, not any proficiencies by the Patriots on either side of the ball.

Throw Rhamondre Stevenson some credit, but the Pats were still worse in offensive yards per play.

Seattle’s defense held Denver to 231 total yards and forced three turnovers. Now it draws a New England offensive line considerably worse.

The Seahawks’ offensive talent showed its potential when it surged in the second half last week.

Kenneth Walker, who eclipsed 100 yards with a score, presents a heavier threat to the Pats’ rush defense in this one.

Jets (-4) over TITANS

Rather than pulling the ejection handle on the Jets’ season, let’s consider that Aaron Rodgers was returning from a 20-month hiatus against the NFC’s premiere pass rush.

We still saw flashes of his vintage self, and though the Titans yielded the least yardage per play in Week 1, that was countering a rookie quarterback.

Tennessee looks to prove the 17-point lead it blew was a fluke despite not allowing one offensive touchdown, but if Will Levis’ three turnovers looked bad against the Bears, it won’t get easier versus Sauce Gardner and Co.

Betting on the NFL?

The Titans burned public bettors tremendously last week.

Rodgers and an undervalued cast plays with more upside now that the rust is shaken.

Last week: 1-1. Eagles-Packers Over (W), Commanders (L).
