A man was fatally shot late Friday while riding in a vehicle in Austin on the West Side.
The shooting happened about 11:15 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Lake Street, Chicago police said.
The man, 27, was a passenger in a vehicle when someone in a blue sedan opened fire, striking him in the chest, police said.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Area Four detectives are investigating.
