Ileana floods roads after making landfall in northern Mexico

STORY: :: Tropical Storm Ileana hit northern Baja California, flooding and muddying the streets

Ileana impacted the surf hotspot Cabo San Lucas, in the south of the peninsula.

The Mexican National Meteorological Service (SMN) warned of torrential rains between 150 mm and 250 mm, and gusts of wind between 70 km/h to 90 km/h in the afternoon and night.

The SMN informed intense rains are forecast for Saturday (September 14) as the storm is expected to weaken as it moves north along the peninsula.
