‘WWHL’: John Janssen Explains Why He Didn’t Accept Shannon Beador’s Settlement Offer In $75K Case

US

John Janssen is speaking out. During his fiancée Alexis Bellino‘s appearance on Thursday night’s (Sept. 12) episode of Watch What Happens Live, Janssen revealed why he didn’t take his ex-girlfriend Shannon Beador‘s offer to pay him back the $75,000 she allegedly borrowed from him for a facelift as long as he signed a non-disparagement clause.

“I have been disparaged for almost five years and why would I put a legal muzzle on myself so that I can’t actually correct the record?” Janssen, who was sitting in the audience, told host Andy Cohen.

The talk show host then wondered how Beador has allegedly “disparaged” her ex-boyfriend.

“I don’t want to get into those details,” he initially replied, before adding, “But it’s — I mean, she pays for everything and she’s my sugar mama. That could not be further from the truth. That was damaging to me. I fat-shamed her, which couldn’t be further from the truth.”

While Beador has stood by her claims that she paid for everything during the first half of their relationship, it should be noted that she already debunked Taylor Armstrong’s previous accusation that Janssen body-shamed her.

“When we would wake up in the morning, he’d say, ‘Why you got to be so pretty?’ That was his little thing,” Beador told Us Weekly in a September 2023 interview. “He never fat-shamed me or criticized my appearance at all. And that’s hurtful because I don’t want him to have that bad cloud over him, and it’s hard for him.”

Janssen ended his relationship with Beador in late 2022, before moving on with Bellino — who returned to The Real Housewives of Orange County this season.

“He did not want me to do the show,” Bellino told Cohen. “That’s been discussed and he offered to pay my salary for the show if I didn’t go then he offered double it if I didn’t and I still went back.”

According to Bellino, she wouldn’t be receiving as much online hate if editors had chosen to show other parts of her life outside of her relationship with Janssen.

“I regret what’s been shown of me coming back this season,” she said. “The audience would’ve seen all that was filmed and other facets of me. All they see is me mentioning John and sex all the time. If they had not just only shown those parts — I’m much more faceted and they wouldn’t be hating as much.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
