ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — Know of anyone who’s anguished over losing a diamond ring in the northwest suburbs?

A social media post from the Village of Arlington Heights seeks to connect a ring with its owner.

The jewelry, found at the downtown Metra station, at 45 W. Northwest Highway, was “dropped off to Public Works from a very kind and caring resident, who wants to reunite this lost treasure with their rightful owner,” the village said. Metra’s UP-Northwest line serves the station.

The social media post included a photo of the ring, seen above, but not details of the inscriptions on the inside. That information must be provided to claim ownership.

The village will take claims of ownership via email sent to communications@vah.com.
