“Boston is such a home for me,” Olsen said ahead of the show, scheduled for Sept. 20 at Xfinity Center.

Berklee College of Music graduate and Tiktok influencer Chris Olsen is a special guest on Meghan Trainor’s “Timeless” Tour — and might also be the pop star’s biggest fan.

“It’s so crazy to me to watch someone who I was a fan first and now I’m a friend, and so to watch her now as both a fan and a friend, is so wild,” Olsen told Boston.com. “I’m so excited to be there every night cheering her on.”

Trainor, a Nantucket native, is going on tour following the release of her sixth full-length album “Timeless,” performing at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield on Sept. 20.

I got to work with so many incredible people to bring this album to life, and I’m so grateful for all of them and all the fans for showing so much excitement over it,” Trainor said in a press release. “I’ll try not to cry every night with happy tears.”

Trainor’s nationwide tour is her first in seven years and also marks 10 years since releasing her chart-topping single “All About that Bass.” The Grammy Award-winning artist has also starred on FOX’s hit series “THE FOUR: Battle for Stardom” and on the superstar coaching panel of “The Voice UK.”

After discovering a bunch of connections he had with Trainor, Olsen said he first got to know her when the two started messaging on social media and he appeared on her podcast two years ago.

After the first Tiktok Olsen made with Trainor — where the two jokingly claimed to be childhood friends — amassed over a million views in 20 minutes, it became clear that the duo had something special.

“She had the story of growing up in Nantucket, and my family would go to Nantucket every summer. So I always felt connected to her,” Olsen said of Trainor. “It just kind of became a really easy friendship, but then also partnership.”

Olsen, who is opening Trainor’s show, said he plans to use the training from his BFA degree in Musical Theater from Berklee to inform his act.

“I’m going to sing some songs, do some comedy, but overall, just get people really hyped for Megan,” he said.

Olsen also attended boarding school in Natick and lived in the Boston area for eight years. He said he is excited to be back in Boston and already has plans to walk along Newbury Street when he returns.

“I still have such a fondness for Boston,” Olsen said. “Boston is such a home for me.”
