AUSTIN (KXAN) — There are few better ways to celebrate Friday the 13th than to visit a haunted house, and today House of Torment opens its doors for the season.

House of Torment, located at 2632 Ridgepoint Drive, said this year’s attraction would run select nights through Nov. 9 and included three new themes.

The haunted house said the themes were The Arrival, Torment ’99 and The Abandoned.

  • The Arrival: The Hades Corporation Rescue team finds an abandoned facility and new reality where their comrades are fused with insectoids
  • Torment ’99: Dracula awakens after an unearthed, ancient amulet hidden in a VHS case is found
  • The Abandoned: Combination of Pandora’s Box and the Seven Deadly Sins

“This year is going to be an electrifying experience with new characters and exciting updates inside the houses. We don’t want anyone to miss out on the scares coming this Halloween,” said House of Torment General Manager Michael Faust.

Tickets for the haunted house are available now, with prices starting at $19.99, according to organizers.
