The first Amazon Fresh store in San Bernardino County is celebrating its grand opening Thursday.

The festivities were marked with a ribbon cutting at the new Fontana location at 16188 S. Highland Ave. just before its doors opened at 8 a.m.

“We’re thrilled to open our newest Amazon Fresh grocery store right here in the heart of the Inland Empire,” Amazon Fresh Regional Manager Kevin Johnson stated in a news release. “This opening invites customers in Fontana to experience grocery shopping with Amazon Fresh, both in-store and online.”

Customers at the newly opened brick-and-mortar store will find a mix of national and local brands, as well as meats, seafood, produce and freshly prepared meals, the release stated.

Prime Members will also receive discounts up to 50% on eight to 15 “grocery favorites that rotate each week.”

The store will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Customers attending Thursday’s grand opening festivities, which end at 7 p.m., will take home an exclusive Fontana tote bag (while supplies last) and get to sample a variety of products.
