Police said officers responded to the incident around 3 p.m.

Boston police are investigating a stabbing on Wednesday afternoon near the Fields Corner MBTA station that resulted in one man being taken to the hospital. 

Officers responded to the area of 1475 Dorchester Ave. around 3 p.m. for a report of a person stabbed, according to a Boston police spokesperson. 

A man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and two people were in custody related to the incident, according to police.

The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing, police said.
