Runners tackle the spooky 2024 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon in Anaheim

US

What better way to get into the autumn spirit than 13 miles through the heart of Disneyland?

On Sunday the “Happiest Place on Earth” hosted its first ever Halloween-themed half marathon race.

The 2024 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon spanned locales across Anaheim, including Angel Stadium and the Honda Center. The epicenter, of course, was Disneyland Resort, where runners raced in areas such as Sleeping Beauty Castle, Cars Land, Pixar-Pal-Round and the Halloween Time Mickey Pumpkin on Main Street U.S.A.

As for the 13.1 mile race itself, 35-year-old Nicholas Hilton of Phoenix took home first place for the men with a time of 1 hour, 16 minutes and 52 seconds. According to Disneyland Resort, Hilton took the lead about one mile into the race, and never relinquished it.

It was Hilton’s third runDisney win, as he also took home the titles for the Walt Disney World Marathon in 2018 and 2020.
