Widespread lows in the 40s and some wind chills in the upper 30s Saturday morning

Lake effect rain showers Saturday in northwest Indiana.

The unseasonably cool air mass coupled with northerly winds running the length of still warm lake waters will set up a period of lake effect rain showers Saturday in northwest Indiana. This area of rain will gradually shift into north-central Indiana later in the day. 

Forecast Saturday 

Potential rainfall through Saturday: Parts of northern Indiana may see 0.50″ to as much as 1.50″ 

Dangerous and potentially deadly conditions to continue into Saturday for southern Lake Michigan with 5–9-foot waves expected. 

Stay out of the water! Avoid piers, break-walls, and lakeshore trails! Postpone boating until conditions improve on Sunday.
