5 NFL Teams Primed For Letdown 2024 Season

US

With the new NFL season having started, there are always teams that tend to surprise people. It’s like clockwork, making the league have extreme parity, at least during the regular season.

But some teams also tend to disappoint each year. Here are the top five teams primed for a letdown in the 2024 season.

5. Baltimore Ravens

After clinching the AFC last season by winning 13 games, the Ravens could be in line for a slower season. The Ravens should and likely will make the postseason, but they could struggle a little more than they did a year ago, giving them the letdown status. Anything short of the Super Bowl will be considered a disappointment for this team.

Losing safety Geno Stone and linebacker Patrick Queen to division rivals is tough, potentially making the defense a little weaker. Baltimore is a tough team, but they also have a brutal schedule ahead of them

4. Chicago Bears

There aren’t many teams that will enter the new year with as much hype as the Bears. Drafting rookie quarterback Caleb Williams gives this team some credibility but before he is crowned, let’s remember, he is a rookie.

He will likely put together a solid season but rookies do tend to struggle at times in the NFL. Putting the Bears in a spot of contention this season would be a success for Chicago but with a ton of strong teams in the NFC, it could be challenging.

3. New Orleans Saints

The Saints finished the season with a record of 9-8 last year, just barely missing the playoffs. Now, they will be looking to be competitive once again, but quarterback Derek Carr will need to prove that he can win at the highest level.

Carr has some heat coming on him from backup Spencer Rattler which is never a good thing for a team entering a season. New Orleans could be in for a frustrating season, especially if Carr gets benched at some point down the line.

2. Los Angeles Rams

After a surprising run to the postseason last year, the Rams are looking to put themselves back into contention. However, it could be challenging considering the injuries they have already suffered.

They’ve lost cornerback Derion Kendrick to an ACL tear, as well as Darious Williams for at least the first four games. Adding in the fact that the Rams traded star linebacker Ernest Jones and lost All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald to retirement, it could be a challenging season for Los Angeles.

1. Buffalo Bills

The Bills enter this season with a new look at wide receiver. Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis are both gone, forcing quarterback Josh Allen to have to figure more out.

The responsibility level has gone up on his shoulders this year so it will be interesting to see if he can handle it. It’s a make-or-break year in Buffalo, otherwise, big changes could be coming to this organization.
