Driver wanted after bicyclist struck, killed on West Side

CHICAGO — Police are asking the public’s help after a bicyclist was struck and killed on the West Side.

On Saturday, Aug. 24 at around 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the 3500 block of West Washington Boulevard on the report of a hit-and-run.

A 55-year-old man on a bicycle was struck by a blue 1997 Lincoln Town Car with Illinois plate ES85500.

The driver was described as an African American man, approximately 50 years old with gray facial hair.

CPD said the rear registration plate is missing a screw.

The sedan was last seen driving eastbound on Washington Boulevard.
