Phoenix, Ariz. ties last year's 110°+ days…

With the high temperature exceeding 110°F at Phoenix Wednesday afternoon, the number of days of 110°F+ high temperatures for the year now ties last year’s record number of 110°F+ highs at 55 days. A new record is expected to be set Thursday (forecasted highs of 110-115°F).   

Excessive heat to continue for portions of the Pacific Northwest through Saturday and into the Southwest U.S. through Monday
