The stretch of sparkling early September weather will continue in Chicagoland on Wednesday, with clear skies, abundant sunshine and temperatures warming into the 80s.

It’s a clear start to the morning, with very little humidity and temps in the upper 40s to lower 50s throughout the area.

It will warm as the sun comes up, with high temps reaching the lower 80s inland and upper 70s along the lake. There will plenty of sunshine and blue skies, as well, with some clouds possibly sneaking in later in the day.

Thursday will be even warmer, but more humid, with highs reaching the upper 80s. Then, a cold front comes through, bringing the chance for showers and storms Thursday evening before ushering in cooler and pleasant weekend temps.

The forecast for the Bears’ season and home opener Sunday afternoon looks gorgeous, with temps in the lower 70s and sunshine.

Forecast

TODAY: Sunny and warmer, with highs in the lower 80s inland and upper 70s along the lakefront.
