Gas leak in Georgetown prompts road closure

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Georgetown Fire Department said a gas leak is causing road closures, according to a social media post from the agency.

Shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday, GFD said that gas leak shutdown westbound Williams Drive from Park Meadow to Lakeway. Atmos Energy also responded to the area to make repairs, and the fire department said those repairs are “expected to last throughout the day.”
