A CTA employee was seriously wounded in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night outside a train station in Rogers Park.

The worker, a 51-year-old man, was on the street about 9:10 p.m. in the 7500 block of North Paulina Street when someone in a white sport-utility vehicle drove up and an occupant fired shots, Chicago police said.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.

No one is in custody, and Area Three detectives are investigating.
