US

An Uptown cafe with a Palestinian flag displayed in a window was vandalized overnight Sunday.

Nabala Cafe at 4660 North Broadway had its window smashed, and owner Eyad Zeid is raising money for a replacement.

In a GoFundMe page, Zeid said the cost of replacing the window could be up to $2,500.

As of Monday night, the drive had already raised more than $7,500 in donations.

Zeid said any leftover funds raised would be donated to the people of Gaza.

“We want to use this as an opportunity to raise money for people in Gaza,” Zeid said. “All funds we raise that exceed the cost of replacing the window will be donated to Middle East Children’s Alliance.”
