Northbound I-35 is closed in downtown Austin after deadly crash

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A crash has turned deadly in downtown Austin after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at northbound I-35 near 8th Street, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

TxDOT said on a social media post that all lanes are closed due to a crash. Traffic is diverting to exit 234C.

Plan accordingly for significant delays, and use an alternate route.
