Westminster car crash kills one pedestrian, seriously injures another

A 19-year-old man was arrested in the death of one pedestrian and the injury of another Sunday night in Westminster.

Police said a 46-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man were hit around 8 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of West 72nd Avenue. Both were taken to the hospital, where the woman died.

The man, still in the hospital, is in serious condition, police said Monday.

Police said the driver took off but was quickly found by officers. The young man was arrested on charges of hit and run and taken to the Adams County jail.
