1 in custody following shooting in North Hollywood

One person was taken into custody late Monday morning following a report of a shooting in North Hollywood.

The shooting happened around 10:15 a.m. near the intersection of Troost Avenue and Hamlin Street, just north of Victory Boulevard.

Details are limited, but according to the Los Angeles Police Department, a shooting took place at the scene and a suspect was taken into custody.

No injuries were reported and there was not considered to be any threat to the public.

However video posted to from Sky5 showed a large police presence still on the scene with a perimeter set up around a specific residential building. An armored vehicle and SWAT officers were still on the scene at 12:25 p.m.
