Traffic Alert: 1 dead following crash in Elgin; lane on US 290 shutdown

ELGIN, Texas (KXAN) — One person died following a single-vehicle crash in Elgin on Sunday morning, according to the Elgin Police Department.

EPD said officers and crash investigators were at the scene.

According to police, the crash occurred near the intersection of U.S. 290 and Western Sky Boulevard.

EPD said the outside lane of eastbound U.S. 290 was shut down, and while traffic is still able to flow, drivers should expect delays.

Police said to be patient and use caution if traveling through the area.
