A man was critically hurt in a shooting near a CTA station in the West Loop early Sunday, police said.

The man, 34, was outside in the 1000 block of West Lake Street near the Morgan Green and Pink Line station when someone in a gray sedan approached and fired shots, a witness told Chicago police.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head.

No one is in custody, and Area Three detectives are investigating.
