US

Three people, including a child, were injured after a hatchback careened into a house in Eagle Rock on Saturday morning.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, first responders were dispatched to a home on North Avenue 51 near Silverwood Drive just before 10:20 a.m. on reports that a vehicle had crashed into a home.

Video from the scene shows the silver Nissan Leaf hatchback had sustained severe front-end damage due to the force of the crash.  There appeared to be some damage to the front of the yard, including a mangled garbage bin, but the extent of the damage to the home was not immediately known.

Crews were able to remove the victims – two adults and a child – from the wreckage; they were hospitalized in critical condition.

No word on what caused the crash was released.
