Two young children who were abducted over two weeks ago in Los Angeles County have been found safe, authorities announced Friday.

Willow Bryant, 2, and Wyman Bryant, 4, were taken by their biological parents during a supervised visit on Aug. 14, prompting an AMBER Alert and multi-county search.

The children were believed to be with Tiffany Bryant, 39, and David James, 53, who were described as suspects by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The siblings had been placed in foster care after they tested positive for drugs in their system, the Los Angeles Times reports. They had been with their caregivers for about a year before the abduction.

The children were initially taken near South Vermont Avenue and West 83rd Street in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Although the children were safely located, details about their parents were not announced. It’s unclear whether they were also taken into custody on Friday night.

“Thank you to the public, the media, and deputy personnel for their tireless efforts in the search for Wyman and Willow,” LASD said.

No further details were released as the incident remains under investigation.
