Taylor Swift‘s impact on music is undeniable. But perhaps viewers might see her influence on the field this upcoming NFL season. According to Patrick Mahomes, who plays on the Kansas City Chiefs with Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, Swift, 34, has been offering solid advice for the chiefs as the season approaches.

In an interview with NFL on NBC that aired Thursday, August 29, Mahomes, 28, shared that Swift has been very invested in the Chiefs as they’ve been training.

“She’s really interested in football,” says Mahomes. “She asks a lot of great questions.”

Mahomes even revealed that Swift has weighed in on the team’s strategy. “She’s already drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in,” he said.

Swift isn’t the only one exploring new avenues. Next month, Kelce, 34, will make his acting debut in FX’s new horror series, Grotesquerie. He will also host Prime Video’s new game show Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?.

Earlier this week, at the Kansas City Sports Awards, Kelce emphasized the importance of “being curious and adventurous in different career fields,” and it certainly looks like this is boding well for him and Swift.

Elsewhere in the interview, Mahomes — who is the father of two, and soon-to-be three, girls, with his wife, Brittany — said that Swift has played a big role in pulling in more women fans of football.

“I think it’s been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football,” said Mahomes. “I know, being a girl dad, how cool it is for me. I mean, to see, like, these little girls, these daughters how much they’re loving and spending time with their dad watching football.”

Perhaps we may see Swift’s strategies at play when the Chiefs kick off the season, taking on the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, September 5.
