Need a job? Travis County hiring for 100+ open positions

US

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Travis County will host a job fair next week to fill more than 100 positions available within the county.

The job fair will be held Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first floor of the Travis County Administrative Building, located at 700 Lavaca Street. Available positions include application developers, paralegal team members, investigators, mechanics, groundskeepers and juvenile probation officers, among others.

As part of the job fair, officials said they’ll highlight nearly 40 new positions approved by the Travis County Commissioners Court in late August as part of the county’s Counsel at First Appearance program. Positions related to the program include roles like attorneys, paralegals, county clerk, business analyst or corrections sergeant, per the announcement.

County officials said the job fair is open to prospective employees of all backgrounds — including those who might be veterans, older than 50 years old, those with disabilities or individuals who are reentering the workforce following a prior criminal conviction.

Department officials, hiring managers and other personnel will be available during the event to answer any questions, while computers will also be provided to kickstart the application process.

Validated parking is available at the county garage, located at Eighth and Guadalupe Streets. More details on the event are available online.
