Amazon is planning to sell a paid subscription for an AI-revamped version of Alexa that could cost as much as $10 per month.
A recent article from the Washington Post said the subscription Alexa, which is expected to launch in October, will feature recipe suggestions based on your family’s dietary restrictions and AI summaries of the news. Those not looking to pay for the subscription may keep the current version of Alexa without a subscription fee.
Alexa will soon become an example of technology features or apps/products that feature subscription services, joining the likes of dating apps and social media to name a couple.
Amazon has not charged money for Alexa since she was launched 10 years ago.
