A 24-year-old woman was shot in the head while traveling in a vehicle Wednesday night on the Far South Side in the Cottage Grove Heights neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 9:45 p.m., the victim was traveling inside a vehicle in the 1500 block of East 95th Street when she was shot by someone traveling in a silver SUV, police said.
The woman suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and was taken to UChicago Medicine in critical condition, police said.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
