US

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Four people were arrested, and another remained at large after the Round Rock Police Department “recovered” a stolen vehicle the agency said was “linked to multiple burglaries,” RRPD said on social media Tuesday.

Police said the vehicle was seen near the 1400 block of North Interstate 35 earlier Tuesday, which was reported stolen by Hays County officials, the agency said. That vehicle had “property from several burglaries in the Hays County and Austin area, including a firearm.” Police said that firearm was stolen.

The agency said a total of five people ran away on foot when the vehicle came to a stop in Round Rock. Four of them were apprehended and are now in custody, including one adult and three juveniles, according to police. There was no danger to the public, the agency said.

The investigation remained on-going Tuesday, and no other details were released, according to police.
