A pursuit suspect driving at dangerous speeds out of Orange County was taken into custody Tuesday night.

It’s unclear what the driver was wanted for, but authorities with the Costa Mesa Police Department originally initiated the chase and officers from the California Highway Patrol took over when the suspect was on the 91 Freeway.

The suspect exited the 91 on southbound Knott Avenue and continued the chase on surface streets.

Aerial footage from Sky5 captured the man, behind the wheel of a white Toyota Tundra, hitting high speeds, driving on the wrong side of the road and splitting cars in heavy traffic as authorities trailed.

Officers with the Anaheim Police Department picked up the chase in the area of Garden Grove and executed high-risk PIT-maneuver, causing the truck to swerve out of control in front of another motorist before coming to a stop on Magnolia Street.

The suspect was quickly surrounded by officers with guns drawn, exited the vehicle and surrendered.
