US

The FBI and other law enforcement agencies are searching for a man in two bank robberies Friday.

About 4:50 p.m. the FBI responded to a bank robbery at the Old National Bank, located in the 1000 block of Dixie Highway in Chicago Heights. A man entered the bank, displayed a silver handgun and demanded money.

Later, the same man robbed the Fifth-Third Bank in the 15500 block of South Cicero Avenue in Oak Forest.

The robber was described as a man between 30 and 40, wearing a gray or beige shirt, light-colored jeans that were ripped at the knees, black sneakers and a cross-body bag, the FBI said.

During the Chicago Heights robbery, he wore a dark-colored baseball hat, and during the Oak Forest robbery he wore a green bucket hat.

No injuries were reported during either robbery.
