Who Is The Kennedy Ben Affleck Has Been Spending Time With Amid Jennifer Lopez Divorce?

Is Ben Affleck moving on from Jennifer Lopez already? Amid his divorce from the A-list singer, Affleck has been spotted out with a woman who has famous political ties: Kick Kennedy.

Per Page Six, the 52-year-old actor has been hanging out with Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy, whose father is Robert F. Kennedy Jr. In August, a source told the outlet that Kick, 36, and the Good Will Hunting star have been seen at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel among other celeb hotspots, while an Insider told People that the duo — who have a 16 year age gap — have been “spending time together” since late spring. (Though Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20 — the date of their second wedding anniversary — the couple called it quits in March, per Page Six). A source claimed to TMZ, however, that despite their multiple outings together, Kick and Affleck are not dating.

Kick is the great-niece of President John F. Kennedy and was named after his sister Kathleen, whose nickname was also Kick.The younger Kick is the oldest daughter ofRFK JR., and his first wife, Emily Ruth Black (who also share a son, Robert “Bobby” Kennedy III, 39). Additionally, Kick has four half-siblings from her father’s second marriage to the late Mary Richardson: Conor Kennedy, 30, Kyra Kennedy, 29, William Kennedy, 26, and Aidan Kennedy, 23. Swifites may remember that back in 2012, Taylor Swift dated Connor Kennedy.

Kick’s father has been in the media recently as he decided to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race as an independent candidate, subsequently endorsing former President Donald Trump. He faced a lot of backlash from his siblings for supporting Trump, with five of them issuing a statement denouncing his endorsement.

As for Affleck’s relationship with Lopez, the couple reconciled in 2021 after splitting up in the early 2000s. The actor and “Jenny from the Block” singer first wed in July 2022 in a Las Vegas ceremony, before following it up with a second reception in Georgia.

Signs that things were over between the former A-list couple emerged earlier this summer as it was reported that the Massachusetts native had moved out of their California mansion. Then in May, Lopez announced she was canceling her This Is Me…Live tour explaining that she needed to “be with her children, family and close friends.”
