One seriously injured during Aurora house fire Sunday night

One person was seriously injured in an Aurora house fire Sunday night.

The fire, near the intersection of Moline Street and E. Highline Drive, was first reported at 9:40 p.m., Aurora Fire Rescue said on X.

The injured male was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Fire crews also rescue a dog from the fire, authorities said.

Twelve adults and children, as well as six pets, were displaced from the home. The American Red Cross will be providing assistance to the displaced individuals.

The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation.
