The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department arrested two men who were found to be in possession of a weapon and narcotics while walking through an apartment complex.
According to an SBSD release, Central Station Deputy A. Fonzi was conducting extra patrols at the Oasis Apartments in Loma Linda around 4:30 a.m. Sunday when he observed two men wearing dark, hooded clothing and face coverings walking through the complex.
The men were also carrying “a large amount of property,” SBSD added.
Upon contacting the two men, Deputy Fonzi discovered one of them – Caleb Armstead, 23, of Loma Linda – had a concealed fixed-blade knife in his waistband. The other man, 33-year-old Loma Linda resident Ryan McClelland, was found to have a bag of suspected methamphetamine in his sock.
Armstead was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for possession of a concealed dirk or dagger. McClelland was also booked into the Central Detention Center for possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding warrant.
