Drake Maye got off to an impressive start Sunday night, leading a touchdown drive on his first series of the night.

The offensive line, however, had it’s share of struggles. They whiffed on a pair of pulls, one of which led to Jacoby Brissett getting crushed. Maye’s first snap was botched.

On one play, Sidy Sow could be seen stepping on Maye’s cleat. The shoe came flying off of Maye’s foot onto the turf.

Maye refused to give up on the play, continuing his rollout and keeping his eyes up the field where he connected with running back JaMycal Hasty on a 14-yard gain.

Maye completed eight of his first 12 passes, including an 18-yard touchdown to Kevin Harris who broke a tackle, kept his feet churning and rumbled in for the score. Maye also hit fellow rookie Ja’Lynn Polk on a play-action pass for 29-yards.

Brissett, who coach Jerod Mayo said before the game is the Patriots’ starter, went 2-4 in the first quarter during his only series of action.
