Dorchester man arrested for murder after fatal stabbing

David Adams, 38, is expected to appear in Dorchester District Court on murder charges after the Friday night stabbing.

A Dorchester man is charged with murder after another man was fatally stabbed in the neighborhood Friday night, Boston police said. 

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at 1879 Dorchester Ave. around 10 p.m. Friday, Boston police said. A man suffering from stab wounds was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man’s identity was not released.

David Adams, 38, was arrested Saturday night while homicide detectives were canvassing for video of the incident. Police said they recognized Adams as a suspect, and “further investigation” connected him to the stabbing.

Boston police said Adams is expected to be arraigned on murder charges in Dorchester District Court.
