Teenage victims in 3 separate South and Southwest side shootings

A teenage boy, 17, was shot Saturday night while walking on the sidewalk in North Lawndale with a 22-year-old man and a 33-year-old man when shots were fired, according to Chicago police.

The shooting occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday on the 3600 block of West Douglas Boulevard.

The teen was shot in the groin and the 22-year-old was shot in the left leg. Both were transported to Mount Sinai Hospital by police in fair condition. The 33-year-old was shot in the chest and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

No one is in custody, and Area Four detectives are investigating.

Then, in the early morning hours, police say a 16-year-old boy was shot while walking on train tracks in the Clearing neighborhood.

He only heard the shots and felt pain; he did not see the shooter, according to Chicago police. The shooting occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. on the 6300 block of South Knox.

The teenage victim was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the right leg. Police said he was in good condition.

No one is in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating this shooting.

A little over two hours later, a 17-year-old boy and 20-year-old man self-transported to Holy Cross Hospital after an unknown person in a silver SUV fired shots in their direction while they were driving in Gage Park, according to police.

The teen, whose left wrist was grazed by a bullet, was listed in good condition. But the 20-year-old victim was shot in the back, leaving him in critical condition.

No one is in custody, Area One detectives are also investigating this shooting.
