CHICAGO – A man who was shot in the head on North DuSable Lake Shore Drive Wednesday night has died.
According to Chicago police, a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were traveling north in an SUV in the 1000 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive just after 9:15 p.m. Wednesday near Oak Street Beach. That’s when a light-colored sedan pulled up next to them and an offender fired shots from the vehicle.
The man was shot in the head, treated by Chicago Fire Department personnel and taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
On Saturday, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said the man died. He has been identified as Orlando Duran of Brighton Park.
The woman was shot in the left leg and taken to an area hospital in fair condition, according to police.
Nobody is in custody and Area Three Detectives are investigating.
