AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Round Rock Independent School teacher was arrested and accused of indecency with a child and child pornography, according to an affidavit of probable cause from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
Court records said the victim reached out to the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division in June about the incidents, court records said.
The victim told authorities they were 16 years old at the time the events began. The victim said the first interactions with Perez began in February 2023, the affidavit said
WCSO was notified of the allegations and confirmed the teacher lived in Taylor, the warrant said. The teacher was identified as Domingo “Dominic” Perez, 48, according to the affidavit.
Perez was arrested on Wednesday, online jail records said.

A spokesperson with Round Rock ISD tells KXAN that Perez was hired during the 2005-2006 school year.
The RRISD spokesperson said the district learned about the investigation in July. Perez was then placed on leave immediately, pending further information from law enforcement. The employee has not been on campus since the end of last school year, according to RRISD.
What happened leading to the arrest
The victim told WCSO they were a student at Stony Point High School, and said Perez was their science teacher, court records said.
The victim said those interactions continued into the summer of 2023, court records said.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for Perez’s home, court records said.
Investigators were able to retrieve his phone which showed messages that were seen on the victim’s phone, according to the affidavit.
Perez was booked into the Williamson County Jail with a total bond of $125,000. He remained in custody on Friday, according to online jail records.
