Scott Eastwood had no problem shrugging off nay-sayers when it came to filming with Taylor Swift back in 2015.

Speaking with E! News in an interview shared on Friday, August 23, Eastwood revealed that he had “fond memories” of shooting the “Wildest Dreams” music video with Swift, from her hit album 1989. “I’m glad I did that — because people told me not to do it at the time,” he said, to the interviewer’s shock.

“They were like, ‘You know, a music video? Taylor Swift?'” Eastwood said, making kind of an “eh?” unimpressed gesture to show their hesitancy. However, the son of Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood chose to star in the music video anyway, saying, “Taylor Swift is cool.”

When asked if he still kept in touch with The Tortured Poets Department hitmaker, Scott laughed. “No, Taylor Swift has become the biggest star in the world. She’s got a whole tour to do. She does not need to be talking to me,” he said.

Eastwood was promoting thriller/drama 1992, which also stars Tyrese Gibson, Dylan Arnold, and the late Ray Liotta, who passed away in his sleep in May 2022 from pulmonary edema and acute heart failure, per documents obtained by TMZ.

He gushed about Liotta, calling him a “no-bulls**t, old-school guy with a completely irreverent sense of humor.” The Longest Ride actor also said he loved hearing Liotta’s stories about filming classic Hollywood films like Goodfellas, and was in awe of his “raw talent.”

Speaking of his 94-year-old father, Eastwood noted that though he doesn’t necessarily give him advice, he learns from him through “osmosis.” He said the Gran Torino star taught him to “work hard, keep your head down.” He also advised, “It takes a village to create a movie… just keep busting a**, and be kind to people.”

Meanwhile, Swift just finished her final London performance at Wembley Stadium, giving The Eras Tour star a bit of a break until things pick back up in Miami, Florida on October 18.
