LAKE COUNTY, Ill. — No bail for the murder suspect who sparked a manhunt in Lake Barrington earlier this week and the woman charged with helping him.

Osceola Little, 38, of Washington, and his girlfriend, 22-year-old Luisa Sanchez, of northwest suburban Cary, appeared separately Thursday afternoon in a Lake County courtroom for detention hearings.

Both, dressed in a blue jumpsuit and handcuffed, face felony charges regarding the events of Tuesday, Aug. 20.

During court, prosecutors revealed that Little is accused of killing his brother on Monday in Garfield Park. Sanchez allegedly helped him cover up the crime.

Police arrested both Tuesday night after eluding custody.

According to police, Little led officers on a chase, and then he and his girlfriend were involved in a hit-and-run in Lake Barrington. After running away from the scene, police arrested Sanchez at a nearby gas station, where she allegedly hid a gun.

One witness told WGN News Tuesday that Sanchez tried to disguise herself as a curious bystander.

“Next thing I know, they grabbed her and said, ‘We got her.’ I’m looking at them like, ‘What is going on here?’ They put cuffs on her, but she was empty. There was nothing. She acted like this was going to the park,” Denise Neathawk said.

Police arrested Little a few hours later after a brief standoff in an industrial building in the 21900 block of Pepper Road.

According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Little is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. Sanchez faces charges of aiding a fugitive, illegal possession of a firearm and not having a Firearms Owners Identification (FOID) card.

Both suspects are due back in court on Sept. 19.
